Spicy orange for 2011?

Does anyone have a link or pic of the new color spicy orange for the 2011 models?

I've searched online and via miniusa but haven't come across it.

Thanks,

Mark

This was all I could find
http://www.motoringfile.com/2010/04/...the-2011-mini/

Looks like they're calling it "Spice Orange" not sure if the slight wording difference will help your search.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be a HO R52 but that side scuttle raises just enough doubt in my mind. Of course, you're never really sure of the official color until you see it in person.

I couldn't be more disappointed in this color based on MotoringFile's info, anyway.

Metallic, "dark", and Convertible only =

Why can't we get a bright, non-metallic Orange like the GT3RS:

That color with contrasting roof and mirrors would be awesome... IMO, of course.

LOL, actually, I've already configured a chili red JCW with about everything I want for $42K.

I'm just debating if I want to spend the money right now. My payments are 500 and some... (I think 520)

I've been paying 750 since I bought it so I'll have it paid off a little early. Point is, enough that I could break out "even" (for lack of better words)

I'm lookin'....

On motoringfile they said the 2011 JCW will come with a standard body kit and a new spoiler, so that may drop your costs a little bit!

I'm a little annoyed by all the little problems with my car and it wasn't ordered with the options I wanted (was wife's car) so I'm definitely going to get something else, maybe late 2011 so I can get a 2012 MY. For sure a JCW this time... Car should be nearly paid off by then too!

2010 or 2011?

Mark,

Are you looking at the 2010 or getting the refined, maybe, 2011? Even though that is a rather fuzzy picture, if one could get the Spice Orange, that would be a bit different. I, kind of like that Orange. Otherwise, for me too, the Chili Red with a Black top, or maybe have my painter do a medium to dark silver top.

From the latest on the 2011's, I'm starting to become a bit dissappointed in what Mini is doing with the JCW's, I should say, what they are NOT doing. No JCW Aero, no JCW suspension from factory, no engine upgrades, pretty much no nothing. Oh yes, they will do the interior upgrade, or at least I hope that is the case. Maybe they'll shelve that too. Kind of dissappoining, although I do like the new Mini S Sports wheels, they look cool. Wonder what they weigh?

You find out anything new, let me know, as you know I'm in the market in November, or so.

Bill in Iowa

Me, too. If orange were available on the '11 MCS, I'd be tempted to trade my '10 MCS!

I like the idea of a Spice Orange '11 JCW, with CR roof/mirrors. That opens you up to put some OZ Serie Rossa Ultraleggeras. I always loved how those look.

Sadly its also been posted on Motoringfile, that Orange will be Cabrio only.

WE WANT SPICE ORANGE ACROSS THE RANGE!

It's fine with me if they UN-post it. I am sick of bland colors. With Mellow Yellow now gone, you have Chili Red. It's not bad, but it's everywhere. Give us something flashy across the range of MINIs, MINI!

^^ yeah what's with them being like this? I've never understood car companies when they limit colour, options, or options in conjunction with other options on certain models. Doesn't make ANY sense, but hey, what do I know about cars....

Right, I remember back in the 60's when you bought a car, you could, just about, have any color that the manufacturer used, all you had to know was the paint code. Also, if you were on the ball, you could get custom colors if you used the proper paint code. Same for options. That's how Mopar got some 66 Plymouth 4 door sedans and two stationwagons with 426 hemi motors in them, by using the proper engine codes for the hemi. I did that in 1969 with a Charger 500 that were only suppose to have hemi's in them. I had the 440 six pak code, which at the time I didn't know what six pak was but thought that it sounded interesting, and guess what? Right, a silver Charger Daytona 500 came with 440 six pak and torqueflight trans. Probably a one of one. Too bad that was another car that went down the road for a song.

Bummer...another bad metallic color.

A REAL juicy orange would be very smart.

What about McLaren "Papaya" orange.
http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/pic/3...evrolet_9.html
I realize it was actually a type of traffic yellow, but I liked it. Almost painted my Bradley GT to look like Denny Hume's car. Now I have a GT2 project that may well get that color. I have the 07 MCS cabrio in Hot Orange and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WayMotorWorks; Me too. Orange can be a really good color, or just a wild weird color, either way. But in saying that, before I saw the JCW Chili Red Tops and mirrors, I had never even though of Black with a Red top. That, at least to me, REALLY looks good. Even though I hadn't thought of Black, I just might have to have a go at that. Even that new Blue is starting to grow on me. At least Mini is giving us some different colors this year, to think about.

Chili Red?

[QUOTE=orangecrush;3048592]LOL, actually, I've already configured a chili red JCW with about everything I want for $42K.

Mark,

Take a look at the Black with Chili Red top combination on MotorFile....JCW update. To me, and I have never been a real black guy, this really looks good to me. Spice Orange isn't bad, still have to see it in the flesh, but the Black with Red top might just be my new JCW in November. Still think that Mini/USA could have done a little more to separate it from a regular Mini s, but that's why we have the NM, M7, Dos, Alta and RMW guys out there. I'm kind of getting to like the regular aero package, but when the 2011's hit the street, then my JCW will look just like all the rest of the MiniS's. We'll see.
