I am a proud owner of a three day old 2010 black cooper S. I have been pouring over the forum to see what I would like to do to it and to start I want to install the Auto AC module. I would have purchased it at the time of sale but there wasnt a vehicle configured the way I wanted with it.

I know it is a pain in the ... to get all of the dash pannels off to get at the center of the dash. What I would like to find out is besides the module is there anything else needed for the AC unit to work. IE extra sensors or having to go to the dealer to get the ECU updated to function with it.

If anyone has any solid info I would appreciate it.

 

Go over an search the Mods section and you will find at least one person has done it. It was not just a plug and play replacement he had to add some other items as well from what I remember.
