Why did they use felt in the wheel wells ? I'm guessing sound insulation.
I'm also guessing the stuff will fall off. Is it just glued on. Does it need cleaning, or just ingnore it ?
Thanks
Jerry

I do not know the answer to this question but your answer seems plausible.

My car has 38k+ on it and it is still about the same as when I first got the car. It is a pain to clean with anything other than a soft bristle brush (at least IMHO). Normally I just spray the hose on it to get a majority of the dirt off, but when I detail the car (twice a year) I get out a brush and scrub it down.
