Trip to Dealer

Bought my ,07 MCS in October from non Mini dealer. Previous owner had broken the armrest.
Currently has 15,000 miles. Took it to dealer this week for the following problems:

Armrest.
Wiper Blades.
Some clatter in the morning on start-up.
Boot hatch thumps occasionally on hard bumps.

What they did:

Provided very nice '09 Clubman loaner.
Replaced armrest...Claimed not warranty because it was broken but replaced it anyway as a dealer good will.
Replaced wiper blades.
Adjusted hatch lock actuator.
Replaced chain tensioner.
Found error code for frozen throttle and replaced intake manifold with new design 4 port manifold. (wasn't even aware of problem).
Total cost $0.

Absolutely excellent service from Motorwerks Mini in Minneapolis.

Technically they should of fixed the armrest before selling it to you unless they made you aware of it before hand.

Glad to see you got such great service though!

That's awesome service, and thanks for sharing and naming the dealership. More often we hear about negative experiences than positive ones, and it's important to call out the guys who are doing it right.

Yes it's a pleasant change to have some "goodmouthing" the dealer rather than the other way round. Don't think I'll be able to make it to the Twin Cities for servicing though.

It wasn't noticeably broken. Didn't realize until after I bought it that the armrest sat about an inch lower than it should have.

Wow I wish my dealer was this proactive in fixing my car! They never fix anything...
