Hi guys,
Please critique my build:
CR/W MCS
leatherette seats
chrome line interior
white turn signals
xenon Headlights
rear fog lights
Sunroof
red color line
anthracite headliner
cold weather
DTC
LSD
16" bridgespokes...Still trying to decide whether to get silver or white wheels. Recommendations???
I thought about the piano black interior, but I thought with the anthracite, it would makes things too black. I also really liked the silver lining interior with the red color line since it would match CR/W but I think the silver lining interior is only for the Camden. Thoughts?
Thanks for all your help!

I have piano black interior with anthracite headliner and it flows very nicely. If you want lumbar support you have to get leather seats, but if you don't care than the leatherette are good seats. You really don't need DTC and LSD unless you do some pretty aggressive driving or like to go to the track. Have you considered the harman/kardon sound system upgrade? It really makes a big difference in the sound quality. White wheels stick out more if you like that, but they are hard to keep clean. Everything else looks like a pretty good build

What about stripes. Local dealer wants $176 for the bonnet stripes that are $100 on order. I'm not big on white wheels, but thats just personal. If you want the LSD or DTC have at it. I would go for the LSD and skip the DTC, but once again, just personal feeling.
Neutral
I have white Bridge Spokes.
They are a pain to keep clean but they do look good and not many people have them, well in this part of the world anyway

Order the sport package and get the black crown spokes. Well since you want the white roof, it doesn't matter. The white roof and sunroof looks kinda funny to me. I got the black roof and mirrors, and should have passed on the sunroof. I actually bought a zippy sunshade for it and never use the roof anyway.
Order the smartphone integration. You will someday be glad you did.
The HK sound system is way better than the base stereo, and well worth the $.
If you want an alarm, order it from the factory. They can't install it after delivery at the dealer. The car is no longer prewired for alarm.
Pass on the pleather/ vinyl seats. get the cloth.
Hurry if you want the LSD it will not be offered after March.
Chrome line looked to flashy / busy to me, I got piano black and with the rooster red and anthracite, it's tight.

Are you anywhere remotely cold!? If so id say heated seats... My fiance (and me too kind of) wish they were there.. as well as those folding mirrors... they are awesome
One other thing... the chrome line interior look great ... much better than the painted silver...
Basically I have had my car in for service and the 2 loaners ive gotten had those 3 options... just made even the crappy Justa- they gave me even better lol
EDIT: i see youve got the cold package and chrome line so thats good
Also piano black is very nice... cept the fingerprints, but it looks incredible with the anthracite and the red color line. Thats how I was going to build a CR once

Looks like a great build! Here's my feelings:
-Keep the LSD and DTC, seems like a great combo!
-Strongly consider the HK audio, it really seems worth it if you want to upgrade sound at all, since the base stereo blows!
-I'd get piano black, it'll look great with the red color line! The red is all the contrast you need I feel.
-I'd recommend the bluetooth as well. I didn't get it and wish I did now. It works really well!
-Think twice about the sunroof. I've taken mine in for adjustments 6 times! It's finally about right.
-White wheels would look great, but be hard to keep clean. I ditched my bridgespokes for challenge wheels after 3k miles and sold them. I imagine if you were planning on changing/selling wheels you could get more for white or black ones.
Enjoy!

you dont have to get full leather to get lumbar supports, the leather/cloth seats have them as well.

Our tastes seem to be somewhat different, buy here goes anyway.
I think CR/CR would look better with a sunroof, but then I wouldn't want the sunroof. Car would get too hot in the sun because there is too much glass. The sunshade doesn't block it adequately. So, you will be running the A/C much more than you would otherwise need. That takes more gas and decreases power. There have been reports of rattles and mechanical problems with the sunroof. The sunroof adds a lot of weight to the top of the car. This raises the center of gravity. Not good for handling. All that said, quite a few people seem to love the sunroof.
I prefer the cloth seats to leatherette. I have black cloth seats in my 2007 MCS and they hold up very well. Tuscan beige leather looks good with CR; very classic.
I don't like chrome in the interior. At times it can catch the sun and dazzle the eyes. I would just find it annoying. Give me an all black dash.
White turn signals would be good with CR.
Xenons are great if you can use the high beams a lot, but the low beams are not good for country roads with oncoming traffic. The are too bright and have a very sharp cut-off so your eyes adjust to the brightness and you cannot see beyond their limit.
Rear fog lights, anthracite headliner, cold weather package, DTC all good.
LSD: I have it without DTC (not available in 2007). I'm unsure whether LSD would be desirable with DTC, or not. If you turn off all the electronic systems except EDLC, LSD probably wont be of much use. EDLC probably does a better job of putting power down than LSD. However, running on the street with DSC on (which is a very good idea) may mean that ASC is also on. ASC cuts engine power when wheels start to spin. I'm not sure how EDLC interacts with ASC. If they did it right and EDLC comes into play first so that engine power is only cut when EDLC is overcome (both wheels spin) then LSD would be useless on the street. If they didn't do such a good job of integrating EDLC and ASC, so that engine power starts being cut earlier, then LSD could delay the interference of ASC. Did you manage to follow that?
White wheels will need to be cleaned every few days with the amount of brake dust the OEM brake pads generate, and personally, I'm not that fond of the CR with white wheels look. However, silver wheels also show brake dust. I got fed up with the OEM brake pads early on and switched to Carbotech 1521 Bobcat pads before the rotors had enough wear to be a problem. The bobcats hardly put out any dust, don't grab like the OEM pads do (better brake pedal feel), and are supposed to last much longer as well as be easier on the rotors than OEM pads. However, this means that you lose the free maintenance in the 3 year/30,000 mile service period. Bobcats are available from AutoXCooper and Way Motor Works.
I have piano black. Looks good with the Anthracite headliner. For a classic British sports car look, go with English Oak and Tuscan Leather.
You can buy the parts to add lumbar support for less than $100 per seat, and install them yourself. I installed lumbar support in my cloth driver's seat. A fairly easy DIY project.

white wheels would match your roof. enjoy cleaning them A LOT. If you cant imagine yourself keeping them clean, might want to get by with silver. Nobody will worry about it then when looking at it.Originally Posted by Batmobox

Piano black + anthracite = AWESOME!!!
Let me tell you something, with the sunroof, since the interior is very bright (due to the fact that the roof is always non-opaque), it doesn't feel like it's too black inside. Also, piano-black is actually somewhat reflective...
If I had to specify, Anthracite is actually imho more important than piano black. It is so unique to have a car have a good looking roof... you realize how every other car out there is just cheap when it comes to that ugly ugly ceiling color... except for the Bentleys.
I'm not a chrome-line fan. too much "bling".
everything else is great!
(no bluetooth?)
If you want the lumbar support you can always DIY.

Robin C.,
I did a lot of reviewing your replies to threads. Your posts are always really insightful, and I was especially persuaded to go DTC + LSD because of your comments. I may be wrong and please correct me if I am, but my understanding is that the ESLD comes into play only when the DSC and DTC are turned off. Also, it's been mentioned that LSD + DSC often leads to a fair amount of torque steer, so I figured if DSC + LSD = too much torque steer, perhaps DTC + LSD would be much more manageable. I got the LSD because I really like the feel of slingshooting through the corners with the it, although I don't at all drive like a maniac (I just pretend like a do.) Really, it's just nice to know that those mechanisms are there for a spirited day.

Ben,
I thought about stripes, and while they look nice, I thought I'd keep it clean. However, I may throw a perforated white decal on the moonroof if I feel like it detracts from the white roof.
Thanks!

Go with everything except the sun roof. That option has been nothin' but trouble for many owners. Do a forum search on it before you order.
