I was going to get the iphone cradle for the armrest... but the local BMW dealer told my mom they wouldn't sell her the part without first making sure I have an armrest... and then they'd have to install it and "update the software on my car to use it" soooo the mini only got a roof rack this season.

 

if you have the prewired armrest the iphone cradle just snaps in.. No updates needed... I would go get it.

yeah, I know this.. and that's why I told my mom we were never dealing with that dealership again. I don't know if I said it in my other post, but they also said they "could not" sell the ipod y cable.... not the one that goes to the back of the radio, but the usb/aux ipod cable... ridiculous.

 

Best answer so far, "January's Payment". I got that too! There aren't many cool presents for the MINI in a Michigan winter when you've already got rubber floor mats and winter tires. If someone came up with a forcefield to keep away all the nasty salt, snow, and road debris that would be fantastic!

 

I got a Base Roof Rack and two Touring Bike Holders! I was so tired of that damn Yakima Quickback trunk rack.

Took two of us 1-2 hours to install it but it is solid and it looks great. I'm confident in taking a road trip with my bikes now.
