From DoS:

The R56 MINI Cooper S has a factory installed noisemaker to add some engine noise to the passenger compartment.

This adds an inefficiency to the intake system that can drop the amount of available boost by 0.25-0.5 psi on stock MINIs (or greater in heavily modded cars).

DoS has created a kit to remove the factory noisemaker and cap the former attachment location of this automotive appendix.

Have a Scangauge II, NM engine torque bushing, and magnetic drain plug coming from Way Motorsports, and got a new pair of Jimmy Clark driving gloves (the best ever --been using them since the early 70s and very hard to find) to put away ffor when I wear my current pair out, from Griots.

The JCW Recaros arent sold in the US. Its the Recaro Sportster seat with the JCW embroidered logos on them and come with side impact airbags and heating elements too.

The only issue you run into is the passenger side. It has no weight sensor which has to be installed into it in order for the airbag for the passenger to work properly. Seems easy enough....I hope

Well I picked it up a bit before Christmas but I just installed an Alta Cat back but it is connected with the stock DP with a custom adapter from FugitiveAI here on the board. So, the Mini recieved a 3" downipe back exhaust and secondary cat delete. So much for staying stock...
Next on the list is a Helix IC and Alta CAI (just payed for the intake)

So you have a custom made 3" Downpipe? Or did you end up getting the full ALTA system?

Did deleting the 2nd cat note any reasonable gains in power/sound?

I got the custom connection from FugitiveAI as mentioned above. The DP is stock but the connection between the DP (DP is about 2.5" as it looks) connects to a custom built piece that goes back to the Alta exhaust (it is 3"). Gains over stock? H3LL yes! Turbo seems to spool about 2x faster than stock and stays in boost longer than I could expect. I refuse to get the full Alta as I do not want the CEL.
I think if someone would start producing a "test pipe" from the stock DP to the Alta even if it was 2.5" they would make a killing! Alta probbaly won't do it because it is illegal to replace a good working cat. Since we already have the cat in the DP we are good to go and since the O2 sensor is AFTER the primary cat there is no CEL!

Also it is a lot quieter than I would have expected which is a good thing for me as my wife is quite easily irritated with loud exhaust or droning exhaust.

Does that allow you to drain the oil without unscrewing anything? If so, would it fit a 2007 and later S? I am jealous of the 02-06 Mini owners that can use the Fumoto Quick Drain Valve!

The only valves I've seen for 2nd Gen MINIs stick down to where a good size rock or other road debris could knock it off and quickly drain your oil. Having something like that would make me very nervous.
