remote control

got a used mini, only came with one remote. Is there a way to get a new one without paying the dealer $250.00? ($280.00 with the key). Thanks.

Apparently they can't be reprogrammed for your car.

i believe that is correct. Thus, it would seem that people buying used remotes or even new remotes on e-bay are wasting their time an money. The remotes have to come from MINI, which programs in the VIN.
