I don't know if this is old news or not but J.D Power just put out their list for most appealing cars of 2009. MINI Cooper won the compact car award for the second year in a row. Congrats MINI.

This remake of the classic British Mini now has standard stability control on all models, the most basic of which starts at $18,550. Despite being thrifty with fuel (standard versions get up to 37 mpg), even baseline MINIs muster plenty of pep for their size thanks to a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder 118 horsepower engine.
