Adjusting hill assist time.

This may be a dumb question but I'm pretty much a n00b to manuals having only driven one for about 2 weeks or so 5 years ago. But alas I decided to get a manual in my MCS.

I know I can just do the e-brake hill start but I find that the e-brake a bit awkward to use in the MCS due to the arm rest.

That being said my starts a still a bit slow and driving around downtown Seattle doesn't really help things (people seem to get right up behind you).

Is there a way to increase the hill assist hold time? From what I can tell it really is about 2 seconds and seems to turn off the moment you touch the gas.

I don't think its editable, I think its hardcoded into the ECU. I might be wrong though.

don't think it's editable. have you tried turning on the sport button and turning off the DTC?

I pretty much learned how to drive stick on my MC too, and the Sport button did help a little bit in the beginning.

Definitely use the sport button. When I first drove a Cooper S, I found that the throttle was hard to control due to about an 1" or so of dead space from the drive by wire system.
