last night i became the proud owner (or more like payment maker) of a 2009 mcs in horizon blue. i love it and made the decision to get it based on many good things i read on this site. so thank you guys and ladies very much!!! this morning i am sitting here making a mini cooper motoring CD and i was just wondering...if you could give your mini a theme song what would it be?
so far my mini's theme song id "i got a feeling" by the black eyed peas!

Congrats on the new MINI!!!
I'd recommend Thunder Road by Robert Mitchum.
A roomie in college would hear that song and the car automatically went wide open. It was big then - I learned when it came on to grab the **** on the radio and turn it off. Those '57 Chevy's we had then were BEASTS in their day! I think they would whimper if they ran up against a current MCS though.

I wrote mine to the Speed Racer theme:
have you seen my Mini Cooper?
It's like heaven on wheels.
it's like heaven but I always have to tell them how the door works
It's great the way the parcel shelf works with the hatch!
It sucks the moment you discover your first scratch!
And when the roads are twisty with
no-one in your view
You bet your Mini Cooper
will Speed you though!
Mini Cooper, Mini Cooper, Mini Cooper S!
It's really fun to quickly move the car from lane to lane
(and those damn rattles can be such a pain)
Hey! there's an S-curve just ahead!
Mini Cooper, Mini Cooper, Mini Cooper S!

Two Months Off by Underworld
Ok, quick story: back in 03 I went with my good friend Alicia to pick up her Cooper, and this song was the first song she played in her car, and since then, it's been the first song I've played in all my cars (I've had 3 since then)....the album version is the best - it starts out slow, then just builds and builds...SO much fun to drive a MINI to!

(The link is for a live version, it gives you a better idea of the whole song instead of the edited video version which practically starts in the middle of the song)..
Oh, and here are 2 more - To Get Down by Timo Maas and Fast Machine by Tin Star..To Get Down was in "The Italian Job" (the newer one), but weirdly wasn't on the soundtrack (it's in the part where they're testing the MINI's for weight) - very cool song! And Fast Machine, well...that one's self explanatory!
