R56 Safety concern on my run-flats?
Safety concern on my run-flats?
I hit two separate pot holes recently, both front tires developed a "bulge or bubble" on the sidewall, I placed them on the back but I'm worried if these "lumps" can be a safety hazzard. (My tires are Dunlop run flats)
Thank's People!!

It's the sidewall layers separating from one another. I'd either replace them or move them to the back in case there is a blowout. Really though, I'd replace them if I was in your position.
I had a similar problem with the stock all seasons on my R32, I got a nasty 4" x 1.5" sidewall bubble and I ended up replacing all 4 with better tires and hazard coverage.

Drive safe!
We had two of the original RF's do this on the kids MCS. We had one on our Clubman do the same thing. We both have Yokohama S Drives now and he's got a bulge on one of those now. I'm sure it's got something to do with the short sidewalls. Well, that and the general crappy condition of todays roads! I guess ya just gotta be careful.
