New A4 is nice. Good luck. I owned 2 audi cars. One was a buyback/exchange and the second was a lemon law car. the 2 of them i owned were a worthless POS!!

Actually, RWD beats quattro. You forgot to mention more weight too.

I had a last generation A4, and while the 2.0T was a nice engine, the car was a slug-bucket. I traded it for a 3-Series; it handles so much better than my A4 ever did with its bulky quattro.

Um RWD only beats AWD in Bizzaro world.

Yes more weight but more HP, better traction, better in the curves, better in wet, better in snow, better on ice, just plain better.

So you've owned both like I have? I really doubt it. "More HP" only in your private "Bizarro world". From someone who actually knows, RWD is much better in the curves than the over-rated quattro system.

I see your mini is an auto. That explains why you need a heavy all-wheel drive vehicle like an Audi.

Yes I have owned both I owned an E36 back in the 90's, quattro is flat out better, hope its perfectly dry in those curves btw. I've also owned numerous other RWD cars.

I own an AT because of my wife, as if that comment needs a response, have you ever driven the MCAa, I love how you think thats some sort of insult. Its also my daily driver, my allroad is an MT, and puts out @315hp/380tq, and weighs over 2 tons, but makes most RWD cars look silly at the track.

With regards to HP the E90 has done a good job of playing catch-up (although tq is still lacking) as for weight, I think the current A4 weighs a mere 250lbs more than a 328i, all while having a better 0-60, and a better slalom time.

as an owner of an 07 A4 and a 08 MCS I can say you're in good shape with either and will love the a4. especially the new a4's style. though the little chunk of wood on the pass. side is kinda dumb compared to the old style! haha. enjoy!

and yea i'd do a4 over 3 series ANY day...then you have to ask A4 or C....that's a bit harder :-)

I couldn't trust my MINI either....new tranny, clutch, flywheel, rear main seal, failing water pump, and a few other misc things all within 2000 miles

So, 2 weeks ago I traded it in on an Audi S4!

I just talked to Mini USA and they were extremely nice and helping. My big concern was not a buy back but a extended warranty the women I talked to said Mini does not offer the extended warranty but when my car is out of warranty not till Nov 2011 they could possibly fix any problems at no charge. what I told her was the Mini isn't my daily driver and I drive the car maybe 10 miles a week. So my warranty will be up in 2011 and I will have maybe 18,000 miles on it. So I know my car has had some major problems with such low mileage I don't want to be stuck with another major problem when my warranty is out and I only have 18k on the clock. I ask if Mini accepted 3rd party warranties and she couldn't answer my question and told me it's up to the dealer. So my next step is to call my dealer and see if they do accept a 3rd party warranty. So my next question is if my dealer doesn't do third party could I take my car to any shop that does and is willing to work on it.

hahaha, he/she probably has money . Its easy to be forgiving when you have money.

If I had to switch cars right now after almost a year of ownership, I'd be out thousands of dollars...yeah...I'd be bitter.Money doesn't grow on trees.

not really fair to compare ones modified car with another stock car no?

I've seen my friend lap 911s/viper/RS4, etc, in his miata with a stock engine but that doesn't tell us much
