Ditto everything above (except maybe the panties thing, haven't seen that one yet and hope not to!) Definitely the smiling part, its like I cannot keep the corners of my mouth from involuntarily turning up. Totally agree about the car smiling at you. It's like when the dog first sees you and he has excitment oozing out of him all over the place and he cannot contain his happiness. I swear the car does the same thing. If it had a tail it would be wagging!

When I slide in behind the wheel and close the door, I feel like the car is giving me a hug and saying "where to, where do you want to go, I am sooo glad you are back!" I think it reminds us of our little cars we had when we were kids and use to push them all over the floor for hours of fun. I have even caught myself nearly making the "vroom vroom" noise when I am having too much fun driving my MINI. But to top if off, who can't love that cute bum?

I must have missed that option when ordering.

Well, my MINI hasn't quite felt me up (I'm sure the wife would make me sell it... she might get jealous!), or have had panties thrown at me (I'd go straight to the doctor to check for STDs... you don't know where those have been!), but the experience is truly different from your typical car. Few cars match the factor of the MINI... and those cars are typically much more expensive.

Long live the MINI Cooper!

Otto is just the best car in the universe. Waiting 25 months for him to be introduced into the country, visiting the dealership to find out my number in line and going nuts when I found out I was no. 1 on the list. Then the endless nights configuring just what he was going to be, and waiting for him to arrive. Nothing beats it except driving him.

Yesterday he got his first oil change at 3,100 miles (1 year checkup) and the 210-mile drive to N. Scottsdale was wonderful--just to be with him that long. He fits like a glove and is a great friend.

Just visiting the dealership is such a kick. While others waiting for service sat and watched tv, I was talking with my MA, looking at the new MINIs on the floor and buying more MINI bling for my gorilla who drives with me and just to put away.

I hate to close the door to his garage when I put him away and look forward to seeing him every morning to just say hi to him or take him to the mail and back.

Sometimes I think I love this car too much. I thought my BMWs were the best cars until I drove a MINI. Now, I'm waiting for the day I can order the new Cabrio. Otto wants another MINI next to him.
He is my obsession.

Heck yeah! All the tough guys at work drive huge trucks, and we have parallel parking only close to the main entrance... I can squeeze between giant trucks where even a midsize sedan would not dare to enter.

They call me the parking monkey... don't ask me where monkey came from. I really don't know!

What I Like about the MINI

Now that I have replaced most of the Stereo components, I couldn't be happier with this car. It really is a joy to drive, even on long trips. I feel one with the road. It's finally snowing here in VA right now, and I'd like to go out and do some donuts in a parking lot. It makes me feel like a kid again!

I'm a big small car fan, and the mini is at the top of the class. What else is there to say??
