Well, personally, I prefer 17's (they're a little more comfy). But I don't have a problem with 18's.

I have a hard time considering larger rims "ricey." Most ricers around here run 15's or 16's to save weight and then slam their car to the point that they can barely drive it to "improve handling". As I said... it's the amount of the drop that I think looks "ricey."

"Dropped! Photoshopped - what's your opinion?" ^^That's mine, and I'm entitled to it.

Now if you go and put a fart can exhaust and a over sized spoiler on it...
Then your heading down the Ricey road....
...OR if you get your big drop by way of just cutting the stock springs in half so you bounce down the road on your bumpstops.

^^That too.

God, I know too many kids around here that have done that.

I guess we just have different definitions of "Rice". Generally it's accepted that "rice" is not someone who is interested in "improving handling" or saving weight. It's someone who wants their car to be bright and flashy without putting any thought into the performance of their modifications. The general definition has them running larger than necessary chrome wheels. It's rare that you ever see a "rice" car running small wheels like 15's unless they're still running stock wheels.

in my opinion no...
dropping the car a bit is not really flashy...
Throwing chrome wheels, oversized raised spoilers.
Butt ugly body kits...
those are elements that call out for attention...
I think to most... lowering the car is more subtle and can go unnoticed to an untrained eye....

Fair enough. I can see the opposite side here.

I guess slamming the car just really isn't my thing.

Anybody that would lower their Mini that much speaks English as a second language. (BTW who did that song "Get Low"? was it Little John and the Eastside boys? That's a great tune)

Edit: I think Little John et al. (2003) did one, and Flow Rida did another "get low" type song.

I like to think that I speak english at an acceptable level. It's certainly not my second language. That seems like a pretty close minded statement to make.

Excuse me..... I think that comment is a bit ignorant ...
There are many people that I know that have lowered their mini and they all speak english as their first language.....

You better be careful with your postings, you may begin to offend people without knowing it

Oh, and don't forget the monster sound system and the WAR CD.

The above pic as well as these are on hydraulics not air...
And in these two shots the only thing that was inside of the car was about 20 batteries...

Nice.

Yeah, I know they're hydraulics. I've known folks with air and hydros. Actually, one of my fraternity brothers has bags on his truck.

The car on the left is Dopamine's and the car on the right is mine.

BigNewt, I'd have to say that it's probably best you don't lower your car.

If you do, and take it to the shows talking like you do, you'll probably find yourself eating through a straw...
Ignorance is unbelievable on this board....

We both ONLY speak english

My bumper rests on the ground when parked (and I'm aiming to go lower this spring). I've spoken english my whole life and only picked up a second language to meet school requirements So much for overgeneralized prejudice statements.

What kind of a freaking post is that anyway? I just expressed dissatisfaction with satellite radio and you try and ridicule me as some kind of unsophisticated moron. Short guy complex rearing its head again is it? I had bigscreen home theater systems in 1990, plasma screens in 2003. Get a life you idiot.

Wow, that just seems a little (okay VERY) uncalled for.
