Done what? Lowered their car or had custom wheels made to resemble larger versions than stock?

Might as well add an air suspension too, so you can do this ...

Oh, and don't forget the monster sound system and the WAR CD.

But if you don't lower the car, you'll get even more tired of it looking like a monster truck every day:razz:

You posted a picture of a car on hydraulics, not an air suspension.:razz: Getting an air system to hop like that is next to impossible on the front of the car. If you're looking to do that, hydraulics is definitely your best bet.

A pic of the front up just for you:razz:

What kind of rims are thos?

MoxieMini Jan 16, 2009 08:13 AM

I think your car will look too "ricey" (no not even "krauty") if you dropped it that much. There is such a thing as TOO low.

If you want to check out lowered minis just look in this thread, it's been around for a while

Gen .1

or

Gen .2

And the rims above on Rally's Chocolate Clubby are BBS RS's

I'm running them as well in 17" and his are 16"

MidniteCoop Jan 16, 2009 08:30 AM

You got the post up before me...

There is nothing Ricey about lowering your car on some nice rims or even stock rims the mini isn't a honda....
Now if you go and put a fart can exhaust and a over sized spoiler on it...
Then your heading down the Ricey road....

Look through those threads and you will soon see that the mini does look better with a bit of a drop...

If anything, it has also made me pay more attention to my driving and the road conditions, I wouldn't go back even if it was free to do so:thumbsup:

I'm totally not saying that the R56 doesn't look good with a drop. I'm all for getting that wheel gap closed up. I think it's hideous.

Just IMO, bottoming out your car like that takes away from the "MINI-ness." But that's just my $.02 :)

Edit - PS: I think the rims look nice!

Edit 2 - I think it's the wheels ALL the way up in the wheel well that reminds me of all my old rice car buddies.

That's cool. I'm all about giving it a drop, that's just a little much for my taste.

I do think you should go with 18" rims though. And I really REALLY like the stock bridge spokes in the larger size. Why doesn't MINI make those!? That would be sweeeeeet!

You think lowering the car is ricey, but you're okay with putting giant 18's on the car?:sly:
