hello
im in mtl and we do have some problem with the cold temperature those days and my mini is having some sort of weird issue ...

1: in the morning at -30C the car make a weird noise at start .. looks like the engine whant to pop out ... (i had the water pump change at 2000K .... ) and the car got only 6000K ...

2:the power stering is stiff (even if the car bein starting up 15Min berofe going to work) its hard as a non power stering car ... weird (i think it's because the power stering is electric ... but even that ... its a motor and gears no? ... there is not suposed to be a fluid that my freeze ?

3: i had probleme with the 2 front windows that freeze in the morning so if i pick up the door handle and try to open the door, it looks like the windows upper corner bent to make the door open (will it make the windows motor broke on some point? or even the windows it self) ...

4: the windows seting ... some time the windows go back up ... but it go down right away ( i caled the dealer and they ask me to put 2 click foward (without starting) and make the windows go down and hold the button down for 15 Second and after that but the windows at is max up and hold the button up for 15 sec and it reset the windows tracking for oppening and cloosing ... ) does it happened to anybody.. cuz mine is doing that evry once a month or so ...

5: sun roof (in summer time only )(i'm not using it in winter time) get stock ... if im tring to opened it (by the key or by the interior control ) it wont ... (looks like the rubber seal stick tu the car ... this is what they told me ... and they can't change anything to it ... ) first when i bought it i ask them if they had anny issue with the sun-roof and they told me there was nothing at all ... weird

6: my radio ... when its cold ... it freeze up the screen so that i can't see anything except weird symbol ....

and few others ...
any way to do anything with those probleme ?

 

I'd re-post this inquiry in the "Stock Problems" sub-forum. That's a more appropo place for figuring out all the little quirks these cars are know for.

For those of us south of the 49th parallel, that is -22 F. Really, really cold. At that temperature I would be having all sorts of weird issues.
