My wife is pretty good about it. I have washed and waxed her car twice since she has had it. I have managed to drive it out of the garage to wash and then back on the garage to dry and wax. I gotta tell you it is cool. I am helping my wife to get familiar with her car so by the time I get mine I will have everything figured out.

It sure is fun to drive that baby in and out of the garage.lol.

It looks fantastic. I have spent a lot of time on the paint and whew it looks good. (I need to teach her. She has committed to be the buffer once the other car arrives.)

Regards,

Pat

Its good to be a 2 MINI family, a club sounds like a good idea.

I'm a bit confused by your sig, it seems to say yours hasn't been built yet, but you say you picked it up Friday. And where are the pictures?

His came in and was not correct to the order...so he had to order a new one that is being built...

Exactly Red Bull. I am told that it will be produced this week although at this time I still don't have a production date.

I am hoping it will be soon. My MA said that today would be the last day that I can make changes. (Trust me I will make no changes.)

After riding in my wifes car I did make a couple changes to the order placed last week.
I deleted the sport suspension and added the lounge leather. I have a bad right leg and her sport seats with the Black Punch leather seemed to hard for me. It bothered my right thigh even just being a passanger. So I went to the lounge leather hoping to solve that issue. (Maybe this was a blessing in disguise?)

Anyway, that's where I'm at. I haven't seen a week 4 support group thread yet. Has anyone else? Maybe it's time to start one?

Regards,

Pat

Hi PatM,

Nice choices you made with your Minis! I dont live too far from you. We should have a Mini Get-together once your CR/B Mini arrives!

That sounds like a grand idea Chad.

We live in the Springhaven development. I can hear the boat engines on the lake from my house. (Couldn't swing that lakefront property. )

Once I get the new MINI we should do that.

Regards,

Pat

You may be able to fix that with the seat hight adjustment. The adjustment hinges at the front of the seat so moving the seat up tilts the seat cushion forward. It changes the pressure on the thigh. I find I get bothered in the thigh on long journeys, and suitable adjustment makes that go away.

I much prefer the sports seats to the standard seats, you get better support and the lumbar adjustment. (Though you may get the lumbar adjustment with the leather anyway.) After getting Quenting, I found the standard seats just flat and uncomfortable.

More news. I called ASK MINI and have found out that the car is now in production. The scheduled completion date is Januray 26th.

There is a ship called the Fedora that leaves Southhampton on January 31 and arrives in California on February 22. I'm hoping like mad that it makes that ship otherwise it won't be until March. That will bum me out for sure.

Anyway, here I go again going through the waiting process all over again. I hope this car is right!!

The shipping site says the car was loaded. The MINI web site and ask mini still say it is waiting on a ship. I have to beleive they are a little slow. Seems the ship is going to New York first and then to California.

I'm hoping that "Fulburt" is on that boat.

Supposed to still be in California the 22nd, but it left a day late so it may not be there until the 23rd.

It's getting closer but at a crawl.

Congratulations on your purchases!! By the "sounds" of your post it seem that these MINIs have you very hyped (as it should be, LOL) and you are "like a kid with a new toy"....

I have one question though... Do Fulburt and Dotty plan to have little minis right away are they going to wait a couple of years... LOL

Seriously tho, I think it's kind of sweet (maybe even romantic, sort off) and stuff that you and your wife liked the same car and shared this process together... Sounds like you had some good fun in the process and it was (is) a bonding experience, again congratulations and I hope you both have some good old fun with your cars…

Right you are. Dotty is a great vehicle and my wife really likes it. I have evidence to this fact as I still have not been afforded the opportunity to drive Dotty, sans from the garage to wash and back in the garage to wax. (It's a thrill just doing that!.)

We have taken permanent steps to ensure no little mini's will be running around.

Can't take a chance on that.

I'm looking forward to the event. It should be fun.

Regards,

Pat

Congratulations! Sounds like an awesome MINI you have coming your way! A lovely couple with lovely MINIs!

Your wife must really like her MINI if she won't let you drive it after all the hard work you've put into it! Then again, nobody is allowed to drive my MINI either!

That poster was the history of the Go-Kart. MINI of San Antonio has it and it made me laugh while I was ordering my MINI just a few months ago!

I enjoy keeping it up. My wife will take over her's once mine arrives. I can't do two MINI's and a GTO. It will kill me. (Even though I like detailing them.)

Thanks for the update on the poster. I was asked about it an never responded.
