Wiper effectiveness help!!

Hello all.. I am a 2009 Mini S owner. I am experiencing a problem with my wipers. I wanted to know if anyone else had this similar issues or if my wipers are just defective. Any speeds above 130MPH the wipers on the passenger side seem to lift off the windown and hence dont work in the function in whch they were designed.. If anyone can help please do.. I spend 80% of my time in the mini at speeds higher then 130. Thank you very much in advance!

Wyatt

The springs are tired on the wiper. Replace the wiper blade assembly at your local parts house. Or run back to the dealer. A car that new should have effective wipers.
I am betting that it is 130 kph. Either way, 80 or 130 mph is awful fast in the rain.

Well I drive on the German Autobahn so 130 MPH is common in the rain. Im thinking that its just the force of the wind on the windshield that gets under the blade lifting it from the window.. Ive noticed on some Mercedes and BMW 5 series that I drive that they have a scoop device attached to the wipers to use the force of the wind to hold them to the window.. Are there aftermarket wipers like this for the mini.. anyone know?

That is wicked!
The driver's side has the scoop on it. Maybe you can get one for the passenger side from the dealer. I am sure the parts are interchangable. I assume the Brits have the scoop on the right hand side.

by the way the mini's speed sweet spot is about 120 MPH.. she just sucks down to the road and smooths out and purrs like a kitten.. really smooth at 120.. anything above that she gets her heartrate up and screams.. also sucks the gas..haha

The PIAA sport wipers have the spoiler. Just get 19" for both sides.
