Please do... I think we all would like to know what the TRUE numbers are on these parts... I personally only want a CAI on mine so I can hear the BOV and make the turbo spool louder.

OK, I poked around the Alta site and they claim 10 WHP/10RWTQ for the intake....I belive the number is resonable for a CAI. No Dyno sheet posted yet but from what I have seen around seems resonable

I´m about to install an Alta Inake to my JCW and when I was looking at the instructions at the end it says something about removing the hood scoop.
Does anyone know what this is about, I guess it is to get more amount of air.
Help please...

Greetings from Mexico.

To remove the hood scoop means to get rid of the plastic grille thing that blocks air from entering the engine area. All you have to do is take off the hood scoop and unscrew the little grill.

THis is what im talking about:

I get my Alta CAI in tomorrow, I can't wait. I am almost at the end of my break in so I'm excited to get it on and going

Psst, that's not the BOV. I thought the same thing too, until i was properly schooled by the peeps over in the tuning section.

BTW, for kicks, try removing your air box and installing a K&N or the like air filter on the intake tube. $27 bucks, and the same neat sound! (and I bet same, if not better gains, albeit small ones)

Yes it is! wow good eye lol

I put a cheap autozone filter on the end of the inlet tube and removed the stock airbox. Not sure if I gained an hp but it sounds pretty nice, especially coupled witth my Forge BOV
