Naw, couldn't do that... Friends don't shoot friends.

Now, maybe a slight konk on the head...

I understand how easy it would be to forget seeing as you had Wensley waiting for you!

It was time for you to MOTOR and rightfully so!

Maybe next time you can sneak a peek for us and report back?

What an ugly color to order. Please no one order it... I will be the brave soul to try it out.

I just built a Clubman S with the HB and Silver Roof and racing stripes, looks nice !

I did a JCW hatch too but it won't let me save a picture of it, turns it silver

well? i have to disagree, as I love the color, and I have already placed my order for my CLUBMAN S in Horizon Blue.

I can't wait to see it in person. Oh, and I am a brave soul. I'm also fun loving, and adventurous. (they kind of go hand in hand)

Did you get the silver roof on your Clubby ? This is the first color I have really liked on the Club.

BTW: guywhomaybuy is messing with you as far as the color being ugly, he doesn't want anyone else to have it but himself

I think I am going to do the Horizon Blue body with silver roof and mirror caps, silver C-pillars, JCW Clubman .

.......although it also looks good I think with the HB roof and mirrors .

That sounds really nice ! I added the stripes (not bonnies) to my Club JCW "build" along with the crown spokes. Too bad a U-Stripe isn't offered (painted on !)

OH -K

I went to the dealer this A.M.and I have now seen Horizon Blue "fer me-self" and it is in no way Space Blue as it has been said. Whew ! That keeps us Space Bluers in our corner of rarer colors.

Its not even close. The HB is definately more gray, in the sun it looks more like cool blue if anything. The reference to it looking like the Jeep slate gray/blue is just about dead on. Dodge had a color on the old Daytona that looked like it too.

Going off of the color chips, I think it will look ok with the white roof but I really think its going to shine on the Clubman with the silver roof. Those two chips really groove together. IMO they should have released HB as "The" color to introduce the Clubby rather than Hot Choc (no offense HC folks) I'm just a "blues" type.

Fertile - Your Club should look great in full HB too !

Can't wait for the cars and pictures to start coming in !

The shot on the right gives you a truer idea of the color - indoors. Outside it seemed to go more gray. That shot on the left, no matter how I held the chip, it never ever looked like that, that is no doubt a camera/computer illusion.

thanks for your input. I'm over an hour from the dealer so I wasn't going to go to see it in person. I'm happy with my choice and I can't wait to see my car.

check out these shots from NAIAS (i c/p from M|U)

Here is another shot where it looks more like SpaceBlue.....perhaps it is like cool blue changing shades with changing light/angles ?

Can't wait to see more of it I like it so far, I want to see it with the
white roof and bonnies

I dig the combo. that top color looks great!

I'm still going to wait to see it in person before I order one with a white roof for an MCS. A body color roof might be interesting.

I have to admit that when I first saw the color plate at the dealership I was disappointed. I was expecting a deeper blue but the grey in the Horizon blue made it look washed out compared to the super vibrant Laser Blue and the purple-blue of Lightning Blue. Looking at color plates, though, is not a fair comparison.

glad I didn't hold out

Not thrilled with the color choices last summer, I had been waiting to order a Horizon Blue clubbie. But in the end I bought a very slightly used 2008 clubbie in Lightning Blue./Silver roof. Today I stopped by the dealership to see the HB sample. I really didn't care for it at all, and I am pleased that I got LB while it was still around. The HB looks very dark, almost like last year's black color.

I loved the other new color, Interchange yellow. A shame they are not offering this on the clubbie.

You sure you had a Horizon Blue chip sample ? Look at the photo above Space Blue is much darker than Horizon Blue. The only way I could see it being close to Astroblack would be at night

As for interchange yellow........well, to put it lightly, I think (and please remember, its only my opinion) is the worst color I have ever seen ever offered on a MINI. Someone else likend it to what you find in a baby's diaper, that's a bit harsh but until I see it on the car, it looks like anti-freeze to me.

Being different is a good thing, that's why we have soooo many choices !

I just got a horizon blue yesterday!! I was skeptical at first after seeing how hideous the color looked from the website but in person it has a calm look to it. It's very different but I like it.

Plus when I drive it I totally forget how the car looks... I feel like I'm riding a rollercoaster

Nice ride ! I saw a Club-S in Horizon Blue and silver and it looked nice. I'm still a fan of my Space Blue though ! Won't be trading her in anytime soon

I also saw the IY on the new cabrio......uuuuhhhh.....its as awful as I thought.......it looks like yellow sprayed over dark gray primer........sorry if I offend but.....to me that is the worst color ever offered my MINI.

brock, that looks like the HzB w/ the Aero kit that I saw at Bob Smith MINI in SoCal. BTW, make sure to post some more photos over at the Horizon Blue Owners Club!
