R56 Meanest looking Cooper? Pics please
Tinting really changes the whole look of the car. Foxy has developed a little of an attitude since she got 15% tint. She definitely gets checked out more by the boys. And yes...I need new wheels. I am still trying to decide if I want to paint my s-lites black or go with another wheel altogether.
These aren't the best pics. My front windows are down which kills the effect of the tint.

My goodness, that is beautiful!!
[quote=wandrur;2510397A good point about the lethality (holy crap...that's actually a word!).
I like mean looking cute things. Like beautiful, dangerous women.

Heh heh heh...I'd like to think IIIII resemble THAT remark!!

DEFINITELY a MEAN lookin' car!! (But they're right...it would make all us R56-ers a little jealous if we included R53s if they looked like yours!....)
What's next, a search for the meanest panda?
I just can't see mean in any MINI... I see mean in the new Dodge Challenger SRT10 and other assorted Muscleman Cars, but not MINI.
It's why I got it. Who's gonna see Speedy Gonzalez in a MINI (if you don't know MINI), or guess it could carve a curve faster than pretty much any normal car on the road? I got a lot of crap for my car at my work (big manly man job, ugh), but a test drive for a few changed the minds of most. It ain't mean, though.

IMHO the best mod to make an R56 look better (which also makes it a little meaner) is to BLACK OUT THAT BELTLINE! It visually lowers the whole center line of the car. While it may be a little too stealth for some AB owners, it looks fantastic on the lighter colors, especially red.
If you want to get a $ 3.50 idea of what it looks like, head over to your local hardware store and pick up a roll of Scotch 33+ electrical tape (yes, be brand and type-specific). The 33+ is more temperature tolerant and doesn't leave nasty black smudge marks. Apply it withOUT stretching it much, carefully cut the ends, and you're done. Should take about 15 minutes. It's completely reversible, and the tape maintains a low-gloss finish a lo-ong time (I used it as trim on an older VW Cabrio and it lasted darned near forever, and was still removeable).
If, based on your $3.50 spend, you find you really like it and don't completely trust the Scotch 33+, grab a beltline blackout kit in real vinyl from one of the NAM approved vendors!
GO - NOW - time's a wasting!
