Don't know about you guys, but I've been on other car forums and have seen many instances of hate for their cars. This ranges anything from threats at stoplights, to the car being keyed / scratched.

So I ask, since the Cooper is widely considered to be "strange" and even "gay" by outside circles, have you guys ever encountered any hate because of your Mini? If so, tell your story.

No, but I've only had mine for about a week, so there's plenty of time.

A while back I saw an oxy blue (I think) Cooper, really dusty...some jerk had written in the dust on the side of the car, with his finger, "I SMOKE POLE." Presumably the owner hadn't seen it, since he was happily motoring on. It was sad. I wanted to run up to it and wipe it off.

 

Someone smashed my windshield while it was parked overnight. I wished I knew who did it. Torturous death.

 

I've experienced mostly curiosity, no hate... Most people want to look at it closer inside and out...
