I would have to concur that the AC needs some help. I am in Indiana and the summers are hot and humid. On a road trip to Virginia this summer my (pregnant) wife was hot the entire time. I was better off, but the cooling does leave something to be desired. Plus, on the drivers side, that panel near the firewall on the center stack gets crazy hot, which does not help.

Quite a few NAM members have experienced the same problem that you have including myself.Located in Stock Problems/Issues Sub Forum titled Heat In Driver's Footwell? there is a fix now which was recently released by MINI USA.Basically they add insulation around the heater core which helps reduce and/or eliminate the heat.
