I just ordered a 2009 MINI COOPER S and I was given the information to monitor it on-line. Do you guys think it will take longer than a 2OO8 model? Also just out of curiosity where/what are the key differences between the the two-anything major?

 

Call ASK MINI and see if you have a production week scheduled. That will let you know. As far as getting the car to you I don't imagine it would take longer than the 08 models. The car is built and then shipped, etc. So it would depend on your location I suppose.

As far as differences I don't think there are any ones really. I think Dynamic Stability Control now comes standard, as before you had to pay to have that option on the car.

 

The packages changed a bit. Armrest is no longer standard in premium package and neither is the hi-fi stereo. DSC is also standard now.

As far as wait times, you could make the argument that it may be less than the '08s. MINIUSA increased their alotment of vehicles by 5,700 through the end of the year. That means more vehicles coming our way and hopefully shorter wait times.

 

Thanks for the response guys, that helped a lot. So really there are no serious changes, basically just reconfig'd options? I thought there would at least be something nifty, but I guess getting a newer model year is always a plus.
