R56 Why would you buy a used MINI?
Dealers are usually completely off on price and you can buy a new one for the same price. Makes zero sense.
Lots of private sales have been the same as well. And what's sad is that Im sure there are knuckleheads out there who will buy an overly priced used mini. Doesn't make sense to me- for the same price, why not get a new one?

Having said that.... though my 3rd one was brand new, I didn't order it, I bought it off the showroom floor. I know me. I'm too impatient to wait 8 weeks. Fortunately I got everything I wanted except xenon lights.
I can only assume that is the only reason for buying used.
I know when I was pricing out used minis, it was a catch-22 in the sense that the price was cheaper but because you could finance for say 48 months instead of 60, then the payments were within dollars of financing a new one.

Our local BMW Dealer had a fairly plain 2007 justacooper last week w/17k that was listed for $1,800 over new with same equipment, it is gone now.
I would expect a much greater range between "askin" and "Would Sell" Price on the used market.
