Put a deposit down on a "Cooper Classic" about 6 weeks ago in pepper white. Its a Canadian market model, as stripped out as you can get it here. Its about 4 grand more expensive then the US base model, but has more standard features as standard. But using the miniusa website all the options added up to only 500 bucks more expensive then buying a similar car in the US which did a bit to quell my "This is so unfair why does America get cheaper cars and gasoline etc etc etc..." rant that was starting up.

Dealership called i got the last 08 in pepper white heading to Canada, so happy. Its on its way to be shipped out now. I would have had to wait till feb for a 09, and renegotiate the price. I know someone was talking about dealerships selling above msrp, but i got mine below. I picked up my step-mom, brought her out to lunch and said 'oh lets just stop in here I've been meaning to try out one of these cars'. She is Genghis Kahn and Conan the Barbarian in a 5ft package at the negotiation table.

Late september, not on pins and needles yet, i have to sell one of my current cars and if thats gone before then i'll start getting really excited
