Tire & rim differences??

We had a 03 MCS and last winter I bought blizzaks & steel rims and we only put about 200-300 miles on them at best so they are like brand new. The best decision ever also, those tires were just awesome in the snow & ice. My question is will those tires & more importantly the rims fit on a 07 R56 MCS? What is the widest tire without and rubbing what so ever that you can run on a R56 MCS on a stardard sized 17x7" rim? There seems to be a lot more room on our new car for a bit wider tire than our older Mini. I ran 215's on our old car without any troubles what so ever. I was thinking of maybe trying 225's if it is possible without rubbing and spreading the tire out too much. Thanks to anyone who knows....

One of the main changes in wheels on the R56 is the dia. of the lug bolts. The 03 MCS would have had 12mm lug bolts. The R56 has 14mm lug bolts. Your wheels may or may not fit larger lug bolts. You may be able to drill them out if they don't fit.

Check the Wheels, Tires, and Brakes forum for what tires people have used on the R56. IIRC, there are people using 225's.
