Strange acceleration noise

This is my first time starting a thread but I couldn't find an answer. This has happened twice and I can't figure it out. I got into my car after work while my car was sitting outside for about 8 hours. With my foot on the break I put the car into drive (foot still on break) and the car began to make a weird acceleration noise. It had not yet moved and my foot had not touched the gas. I'm not sure about RPMs. Any suggestions or answers?

What do you mean by "weird acceleration noise"? I know on mine if I don't have the my foot firmly planted on the brake when I put it in drive the brakes will slightly slip and make that noise brakes make when your at a stop light and slowly release the brakes, like a "iirrrrrrk" noise...

A bit of advice> in addition to describing the strange noise, take a video of it (paying attention to sound quality) and put it on youtube - then link it here. That way, people will actually be able to hear the sound for themselves.

not quite that high tech yet. It sounds like my foot is also on the gas while I am braking. It sounds as though the enging is revving up by itself. It's not coming from the brakes, I wouldn't be shocked if it actually showed up in RPMs. It has only happened twice so I don't know when to expect it.

Could it be the fast idle cam compensating for the A/C?
