Yeah, I always get crappy enterprise loaners as well. Acura is way better on the loaner front from my experiences.

I was shocked. $9.00 and a from the guy who drove my car around the parking lot.
I would but I paid extra for the run flat insurance, so I figure I might as well use it. One more flat and it's paid for, haha. I guess I'll drive across town to Moritz next time. My experience is at MINI of Dallas.

Salty, I had a nail in my runflats last Monday.
I went to the dealer.
Fortunately the nail was in sideways and didn't puncture.
The techie told me he was gonna hook me up with a MCs if the tire had to be replaced...for the low cost of $375.

Hello regular tires at replacement time!

I had to take my 07 Cooper S in for service a while back, and my loaner was a POS Chevy Cobalt. What a horrid car. Sure as hell made me appreciate the MINI more though

Motorwerks BMW/MINI has their own fleet of loaners: MINIS & BMW's, go figure.

At Rasmussen in Portland, they got me into a new Jaguar for not getting me into my scheduled oil change.
At MNS, I was given a BMW 325i for an ongoing issue with a deep scratch that was on the car while at the dealership.

Other than that, normal loaners have been whatever was available at the Hertz lot.

So you're the reason the Kenwood Hill at Stewart Rd on 71 is always so backed-up and slow in the morning and afternoon commute.

my mcs had a nail on runflat tire and drove it to motorwerk. they needed to order a new tire in few hours so i didn't want to be late at work. they gave me a ride in the shuttle of bmw suv to work before noon then they picked me up again in shuttle back to motorwerk afternoon after work cuz it is only one day. for no loaner car but for solving my problem to get back to work rather than sit in the wait lounge to waste my personal day off.

when i discovered the chip and scratch from dripping painting & glue on my passenger door due to defect and they honor the warranty to cover. they did schedule the appointment for repainting so they did give me the mini mcs. i drove the loaner car for 8 days.

i enjoyed their service as first class whenever i e-mail to follow up with the process.

Forgot to add my hubby's experience with Honda. We had to take his car back to the dealership about a week after we bought it to get them to custom cut and install his floor mats... (the entire floor of his CRV is lined with rubber. There is no exposed carpet, which is awesome in the winter!).

While the car was in the service center, they gave him a ride to work and called him and picked him up when his car was done. They have an Odyssey that they've set aside specifically for the purpose. So far, we've been extremely happy with the honda dealership.

From Checkered Flag??? Man, I thought they would at LEAST give a 3 series BMW as a loaner, if not a Mini.

Its really awesome that you had a MCS for 8 days. That is 8 days of trashing the loaner car, doing things to the loaner that you would normally not do to your own car. That is what I normally do when I get a loaner. I had a g35 sedan loaner for a few days, and my friend had a bmw 328 sport wagon at the same time, we went to a large empty lot and trashed both cars. We were doing donuts, stomping on the brakes, trying to power slide. haha though the down side is not having your car for 8 days, I understand that is difficult. You dont know who is driving it, or worse, how they are driving your personal car.

Yeah... my loaner was a tan Toyota Corolla - I went from driving the coolest car on the road to something that my grandparents.

AND did I mention it was an automatic? It made the saddest little noise when I tried to speed up to merge into traffic. I was so happy to get my baby back!

Corollas transmissions do have this distinctive sound that sounds like a whining puppy. My husband always complained that my car sounded like it was objecting to being driven while I had my corolla. *chuckle*

This is so aggravating! My dealer told me that they didn't provide loaners to Mini cooper owners, only BMW owners. -_-
How can i muscle them into giving me a loaner?

why's that, you don't like your car to be driven the way you drive the loaner, which eventually is sold to some poor sap?

The first time I took my 07 MCS in for a funny noise in the clutch area, I went to Assael Mini of Monrovia, they gave me a brand new 2008 Blue MCS automatic. Drove that car for a week.

The second time I brought it back a month later for the same noise, (turns out it was a bad flywheel) they gave me a brand new 2008 Grey MC automatic. I drove that car for two weeks.

I have been very pleased with my Cincinnati dealership experiences so far. My wife got a BMW too, when her Clubman was in the shop. They really take care of you.

First time I took Romi in for service was to get a firmware upgrade and an oil change. They gave me a nicely loaded PW/B MCS to drive for the day.

The next time I took Romi in for her annual freebie oil change, they offered me another nice MCS, even though Romi was only going to be there for a couple of hours. I turned it down and told them I appreciated it but I'll use those loaners only when I really need it.

Of course, I put a good coat of wax on the loaner they gave me to drive that one day. It was a bit dirty when they gave it to me.

I also bring the service staff breakfast burritos, or kolaches, or pastries when I visit. I really do not know if it gets me better service or not, but it cannot hurt. They are just a good group of folks.

It doesn't matter if it gets you better service or not for maintenance or minor repairs. Obviously, you like doing it and it makes you feel good, so you should keep doing it. There's no law against being nice to your dealership, besides, I guarantee it will get you a better response from the staff when you have more serious issues because they will remember you when you come back!
