So to extend the life of the turbocharger, I wouldn't leave it on for more than a fun acceleration or pass on the freeway/track.

It sure does make it much more fun to drive!
mmmm...i dont really know about all that....i have a boost gauge, and concerning the throttle and not the steering, i hit the same marks both sport and non-sport enabled.....with teh sport button, i dont have to push the pedal as hard

regarding the Forcing word? i mean if they said it opens up allowing more air to flow through the turbo, would that rest a little easier?

i don tknow if it really affects the life of the turbo or mpg (unless of course you change your driving habits and drive a lot harder because of it)...but the truth is that it makes the throttle a lil more sensitive which for me makes shifting less tiresome, especially getting in gear......my only concern is, am i going to wear out the ps pump earlier on if i continue to drive with the steering that stiff......

It sounds like they are a little confused.

That overboost would be more a danger to the engine (detonation) than the turbocharger ~ if extended for too long.

The ECU will allow, but limit this increase in boost (and power) at higher RPM to a very short (seconds) time period.

Power Steering is Electric and Sport Mode makes it seem like it does less 'assist' than Normal Mode.

yeah id probably be more agreeable wtih this...but i dont think that the topic of overboost has anything to do with the sport button feature, cuz you can hit it with or without if you floor it through....just mentioning it causes people to get confused....

yeah it seems people are still confused over the overboost function.
it's already been mentioned and proved (someone with scangauge and someone else with boost gauge) that with or without sport button enabled, you still get the same amount of max boost.
