Used & Trade in value

Anyone know if kbb is accurate on R56 values right now?

I'm looking at trading in my 2007 R56, 13,000 miles, premium, sport, coldweather, xeons, lsd, kbb puts retail value at 26,140 in excellent condition, sense mine has had a door and fender replaced I think it hits good but body work, at 24,700 $

there's 0 hardtop manual coopers within 100 miles on autotrader, there's a couple auto's though

I had one dealer offer me 17,000, I took that as an insult, KBB values it at 20,000 $ trade in, at the lowest quality setting, fair value, blemishes, and 23,725 $ in perfect condition

I'm either getting an alpine white 135i sport/premium, or waiting on a 2010 camaro SS, it really depends on the bmw dealers, I have to keep my payment under 750 $ per month, if they cant do it, then I'm gonna wait for a camaro this spring

19 on an 06 and they only offered me 17 on an 07, I really do feel insulted

I want a 135i but not that bad, if they cant get me in one for the payment I want, I'll just wait for a camaro, they have almost identical performance specs

Maybe with the V6. If you get a Camaro, you gotta get the V8. Come on!

As U should. That's textbook lowballing, assuming yr mileage is pretty low. Used MINIs are in extremely high demand now. I just traded my low mileage 2005 R53 in, dealer was sooooo desperate (he had none) for used MINIs he gave me $18K on trade, $2,500 above what he offered back in march when he had at least 12 CPOs on the lot Plus I got a $500 discount off msrp on my 2009.

The general rule here is: the fewer used MINIs on a lot, the higher the trade value should be. used cars are a dealership's numero uno money maker. shop around.

I would be in complete if a stock Camaro came even close to the handling of a stock 135i. If I were going to buy a non-M BMW, the 135i would be my pick.

I know one thing if I saw a used 07S on the lot for 29k, I would just order a new one. It would have to be at least 29k if the dealer gave you 26k for it. Your best bet of getting anywhere near 26k for your car is private sale, it is just about 2 years old now, going by model year. The 09s will be out soon.

I wonder how much prep it has that won't be in dealer showrooms. Didn't Ford put a crap suspension and fixed axle in the Mustang GT500, because it was too expensive to give it a real suspension?

I'm not real impressed by American cars anymore, except maybe the Z06, and I'd still buy an M3 over that any day of the week.

they finally have independent rear suspension

A lot of dealers are using "Galves" for their trade-in value...that's an auction price (much lower than Kelly's trade-in value.) When I went to Keeler Mini in Albany, NY, that's what they were using. They offered me about $9k for my 2005 Mazda3, with 27,000 miles on it. I sold it myself for $11,500 and made $2400 above what I owed on that lease. Never trade if you can help it!!

dont ever trade in your mini you never get a fair price. These azz holes told me 16,000 for my loaded R56 S. I sold it privately for 27.

I save on taxes on a trade, and the title is not clean, it's got a new fender and door, so trading works out almost the same as selling it myself

but not at 17k, another dealer offered 23k on trade, but that was on a 328 convertible they have had on the lot a while and want to move

You can't find a 135i under $750/mo with $0 down? Are you serious? When I spec'd one out it came to like $560/month with $0 down...

no way is it faster then the ss camaro 0-60 or quarter. My 06 gt mustang convert does 12.7's - 12.8's all day with minor mods, the ss will hit 12.5's or lower.

it is, google is your friend, go look up chevy's official stats on the SS

430 hp, but the car weighs a LOT

I dont know about 1/4 mile, I'm only concerned with 0-60, it's rare I can break 80 mph

If selling price is $800 over invoice with no money factor or acquisition fee increases, with 58% residual (36 months at 12k miles/year) at .0027 MF with $625 acquisition fee and $0 down, you're looking at ~$635/month assuming a 5% tax rate. If you put down max MSD's, you're looking at $602/month. If you take out a couple of those options, you're right around $560 like I said. Why not do a European Delivery and get it down even more?

I understand about the weight issue. What you need to understand is american made muscle cars usually dyno very close to their crank hp. My stang weighs around 3800 lbs and dyno'd 289 on a mustang dyno, after a retune cold air axel back and high flow cats im at almost 330 hp to the wheels and 330 lbs of tq. Those mods and my 3.73 gears and short throw gets me into the 12.7s and 12.8s. The camaro is going to be high 300s low 400s to the wheels and only 100 lbs more I can't see the 135 being in the same ballpark of a car that breaks 12.5 stock maybe as low as 12.2 12.3.

100% disagree. It depends on the market, the timing, and the dealer's price. My dealer pulled thru very well, and I decided to do this because Rodney was a problem car, and I hate trying to ps problem cars, been there done that The tax benefit is another great deal, almost a thou alone there towards Syd B.

I think right now anyone that takes a well-cared-for low mileage OEM MINI that could be sold as CPO to a used-car-starved dealership (Desert MINI in Vegas for one) would be given offers def worth consideration. As oil goes up, so does the MINI's utility, ergo its value

The market, not kbb or nada, seems to drive MINI sales.

He didn't say he's leasing. I think he's talking about trading a car in and buying. Trading a car in to lease a new one makes no sense.

ok i just googled the auto ss's are doing 4.6 while the 135is are doing 4.7. Much closer then I thought but my guess is once the ss's hit the road the manual's with a good launch will get 2/10 of a second lower.

Apex speeds are far more interesting and fun than straight line speed. When I track my car I think of the front straight as that boring bit that gets me back to the good bits.
