I'm having issues with my iPhone (2.0) and my iPod interface. I can play music without problems, but it doesn't usually charge my phone. When I plug it in, I get the message about going into Airplane mode, which I say no to, and then I can access it fine, but the phone doesn't charge.

What's weird is that sometimes it does charge. 2 or 3 times since I got the car, the phone will charge. I can't figure out any pattern to why it does or doesn't. I've tried unplugging and plugging it back in.

Is anyone else having this problem, or will I need to take this up with my SA?

Do you have the new iPhone 3G? Because they moved the power pins on the connector from the earlier firewire pins to now use the usb pins. That means that a lot of chargers that worked on the iPods and the original iPhone will not charge the new iPhone.

Really sucks, but the only way you could fix it would be to modify the cable that came with the Mini, or make your own with the correct pins wired together.
