Yes, I know someone's got to get their hands on it [the car] 1st. <grin> I'm just wondering if estimations were made of the form "we expect we could have our tune altered specific to that model N number of days from the date we get our hands on one..."?

Currently the UniChip is 100% NOT compatible with the JCW 09 Cooper!

Jeff and I are working on solutions to this problem at this time.

More updates ASAP!

Yeah, what Ryan said!

The reason I mentioned the JCW suspension is that in the pics you posted it looks like the ride height is a bit lower than my stock 07 suspension. There are some posts in the new 09 JCW forum regarding this as well.

hmmm...maybe it's time to get a new mini.

You may be right. I have some speed humps in the neighborhood that I don't touch with my 08 Cooper S even with coilovers, yet the 09 JCW car does touch. Might just be the style / shape of the body kit.

I believe they put it on the hoist after I left last night so I will need to go check today to see what they found.

Hey guys....

Just FYI, I updated the images in our gallery. Even if you already took a peak you might want to look again.

.::ALTA 2009 JCW Gallery::.

Also we have made an exclusive video for NAMers documenting the first mod ever performed to a 2009 JCW.....

Sample from the new gallery

That is a funny observation. Jeff helped with that shot and that is his hand in the image. He is indeed a south paw.

Would there be any tuning in the future for JCW stage cars ? Only curious. I love my jcw ecu and it's output... Just a thought though. I don't know what all went down with the 1st gen. JCW fitted cars, and 1st gen. Factory JCW's...

Anyways. talk t oyou soon !

The new JCW cars are going to be even better tuned than the MCS. The new engine, trans, turbo etc. will all work together to get even more HP out of the car.

Stay tuned!

Thanx much. Nice!
Wondering, could you please post the measured @ the wheel numbers @ whatever RPM increment you have? I'm hoping to get a more accurate simulation w/CarTest2000 based on @ the wheel measurements.

Those numbers are at the wheels. HP is at about 6250, and the torque I can't remember off hand. You could PM ALTA2 for exact numbers. PLUS more information will be posted by ALTA2 this evening or tomorrow!

Adam those are very strong numbers for a stock JCW and it seems that Mini underestimates the 208 hp and 192 ft-lb for the engine.Impressive

Ah, I thought that was adjusted flywheel... That's pretty sick!

What I meant was I was hoping to be able to see a table @ say 500rpm resolution of either torque or hp @ the wheel (we know given one we can derive the other)... then using that, I've got close to a perfect CarTest2000 simulation basis. ...more 'interesting' to have than anything. It's not like I'm going to be changing the gearing or other things you'd do w/an accurate simulation.

WAIT a minute! Nothing could be farther from the truth! If we didn't purchase this car (as well as other MINI models) we wouldn't have the proper data to release appropriate parts for the car. I bet YOU didn't know the exhaust is different than the std. R56 Cooper S, etc. etc.

Why wouldn't we do everything we can to help our clients to have the best parts possible from ALTA?

Plus this allows us to showcase the items we do have, and how they play with other mods and models.

And what are you saying about the MINI community here by calling them "sucker"s?

If you have something that your are cross about with myself or my staff PLEASE feel free to take it up with me off forum, but this is not the right place.

THANK YOU though for your opinion!

Pretty typical with the other models as well. The larger turbo and stronger ECU mapping from the factory REALLY help this model! Can't wait to do some air flow mods, then on to real ECU tuning!

Thanks again!

Jeff P (ALTA2) can get you what you need! Sorry for the delay I totally understand your reasoning!

Nice numbers, for sure.

Are these SAE?

I realize there are many variables, but any idea how they compare to DynoJet numbers? For instance, do you have any same-car comparisons from cars tested on your dyno and on a dynojet?

Just trying to get an idea of how the hub-mounted dyno's compare to the Dynojets and Mustang Dynos I'm used to
