That's a great idea! I'd just hate to have my order screwed up just because my MA doesn't know what he's talking about. Glad to know I'm not the only one with options missing from the OL list though!

White turn signals also does not show up on my option list as well. My MA assured me that he did put it in the system but it just doesn't show. I am guessing some options just do not appear on the owner lounge's system eventhough they are actually on order....including white turn signals and the bluetooth thingly. Just my 2 cents .

I noticed that since the last time I did a configuration for the MCS, the option for Sport seats are available ($250.00) mark up. Anyone else seen anything else that is new?

Edit: Also the option for the JCW tuning of the engine is gone. Is that now a standard feature?

Thanks for the pictures. I must have missed an option that included the sport seats. The engine tuning I completely blew past apparently.

Hmmm, not sure about that. White signals showed up in the detail section of mine. Have your MA "Print out" your "official" "VEHICLE INQUIRY REPORT" which will also include your production number. If an option you ordered is NOT on this report, then your car will not have it .

Week 40? Where are you ordering it from? Did you order it with the Sports package or something? That seems like an awfully long time from week 36...

The Vehicle Inquiry Report does show that the white turn signals. It just doesn't show on the owner's lounge for me. But I trust my MA.

Not showing up

I am also at week 36. Today I added the JCW tower brace, but it didn't show up when viewed in the owners lounge?! Is this because it is a dealer installer option (which I didn't realize when I ordered it)? Should this have showed up? I wish MINIUSA would somehow show on their web site what is dealer installer and what isn't along with the installation cost. It's kind of a bummer to only find out that there is an (additional) installation cost when you are getting ready to sign the paperwork!

Just found out 1/2 hour ago my time estimate went from end of Sept to the end of Oct. So much for the Aug allocation, my order is in the Sept allocation. I hope they help with a loaner!!!!!!

When you say its a 2009 model, but built in 2008, what does MINI decalre on the registration card of the car for 'year of manufacture?

Should it be 2008 or 2009?

Ralph Schomp MINI, Denver. No sports pak or anything unusual. There was a long accumulated wait list for MCS build slots and I was in the middle.

I waited 10 long agonizing months in 2004 for my R53, so this wait is nothing, really.

Anything beyond Step 4 on the configurator are dealer installed, that's why they make U check the disclaimer box before U hit Step 5. And MINI USA cannot list the installation prices because they are determined by the dealer and the local labor rates, which can flucuate from region to region. For example, the JCW shift lite is $255, and since it is dealer-installed option, they tack on $120, roughly a little over one hour labor where I live (Denver). Your dealer should have a list that lists all dealer-installed options, and the prices they charge including installation. Check with yr MA--and make sure the prices are accurate.

This is one reason why I try to avoid anything installed after the factory/VDC.

You wont get a true VIN # until right before yr car is scheduled to be built.

And the owner's lounge tracker is slooooooooow to update, so be patient

The reason for the price increase was the Dollar, they had no real changes for that car in the 09 version.

So who knows, I hope is not the same for the MINI, but lets be prepare.
So as the value of the dollar increses, as it is doing now, we can expect to see price reductions?

Hurray! Called the Mini USA 800 number and was told my car has been assigned production week 36, which I was told it means they begin making the car the 1st week of September! I also was told that the two missing options, the white turn signals and iPod bluetooth options, that were missing from my order in the Mini Owner's Lounge site, is in fact part of the order that they show in their systems. The Mini rep on the phone said sometimes they recycle the production numbers in the database for the website, and the ordered options may not always be 100% correct.

I guess the bottom line is to call their 800 number if you want to know the latest on your order.

Thanks. I wondered about the bluetooth/white turn signal options missing from my order as well.
