Alternative to window tinting

I have always been ambivalent regarding aftermarket window tinting. It looks good, but in my experience over the long haul, there are always issues with color, bubbling, and nowadays concerns with interference with various electronics. Anyway, I ordered a set of the Mini sunshades for the rear side and back windows. There are the same material as the moonroof shade and install very easily. It give the darkened look to the back from the outside and limits the sun to the inside. Albeit there is no shade for the door glass available but I never like those windows darkened anyway. I think it is a good alternative. It is removable and not too expensive (~$180 to my door with BMWCCA discount from the dealer).

I've gotten my baby tinted already without any remorse, but would love to see pics of the product you mentioned.

hi spfdhed - i'm getting ready to order the rear hatchback sunshade. Can you post some pictures of how they look installed on your car, especially from the outside of the car?

I am fanatic about visability. Anything that limits my ability to see gets addressed quickly. I shy away from dark tinting because it may hamper driving at night.
I still would be intrested in some pics of the product. It may make the grade.

Here are a couple of quick pictures. It is difficult to tell from the inside picture, but the visibility to the outside is not really affected at all. I like it!

I got a big dumb dog that will supply you with another alternative to tinting. It's called dog slobber, very effective!
