Protected AAC is not supported by MINI

You cannot simply move protected AAC music file to USB hard drive or memory car to enjoy them in MINI without iPod since MINI won't recognize and won't even display protected AAC music files on screen. You need to have iPod to play protected AAC (purchased from iTune) in MINI. That's a one of the reason that I returned iPod and buy unprotected music files.
So if you have a big collection of protected AAC music file, you have to have your own iPod and connect iPod to MINI to enjoy your iTune music

If you purchase music on iTunes, you can burn the songs to CDs and re-import them into iTunes and voila! No more AAC-protected files!
