Ok i have tried to find the answers to my questions, and have not found them. Its about the 2009 models, it appears that i am going to be able to order my mini in late 08, which seems to be when the 09 models come out.

I dont really have a problem with this but i have heard that past years the new models go up in price. Which can be expected but if we are talking a couple hundred thats fine, if we are talking acouple thousand thats different. So if noone knows the 09 figures but knows that numbers from previous years, feel free to chime in!!

p.s. Im interested in justacooper BTW.

I don't think the 2009 prices are out yet.

Last year, the prices did not go up much: See this.

The 2009 JCW Hardtop is out, but not the MC/S yet. The official launch date for the '09 JCW is July 14 ... not sure when the other '09's will be released.

I ordered my Clubman a couple of weeks ago through the military sales program here in Germany. My dealer told me that he has a limited number of slots available for the 08 models and told me that there won't be any significant changes to the new model and that the prices are going up by maybe at least a thousand dollars. He even showed me on paper how many he has available through the BMW dealership and it was very limited. I just couldn't take the chance of not taking the dealers word and so far I've heard only good opinions about our dealer here in town. I hope this helps.

Are there any discounts on 08's right before it goes to the 09 model year?

Called a dealer on Saturday. He said they would be able to order 09s starting the last week of December - no earlier. I assume that means you can order an 08 right up to that point? Also, two different dealers said there would be prices increases for the 09 model year.

Hope that helps. I want to order in September and was hoping to get an 09. I dont think I want to wait until the last week of December though...

I don't recall any manufacturer in recent years raising their prices more than 5% in a given year. Given the coupe's starting price, I don't think you are looking at anything more then $500-$750 and they will probably throw in more content such as stability control or some other variant.

I have an 07 Cabrio that I bought for 31k and when I was at the dealer recently I saw an almost exact duplicate of my cabrio for 35k on a 08 cabrio.
I could not find 4k worth of factory installs to justify the price increase.
The only difference I could find was that the 08 had chrome hinges and a auto tranny.

Expect the prices to go up for the 2009's but how much I have no idea.Recently the Sales Manager at Vista MINI told me that the remaining 2008's were already going up in price.

There are major increases in the price of raw steel due the second half of this year.
Anything made out of steel will have an increase at some point.
I wouldn't wait too long. Heck, you will be missing out on that much fun!
