Carbon Fiber Trim?

Okay,

I've ordered my MCS and have another 2 weeks before it gets to the dealer.
I've ordered a dark silver w/ black roof + mirrors and all black leather interior ...and have ordered (from a 3rd party vendor) some all black Konig wheels.

So, dark silver and black is the theme of my Mini. I plan on blacking out the grill trim, headlight trim, and body trim in the near future.

Here's my question... should I get the dealer to install the carbon fiber hood scoop??? (and possibly the carbon fiber rear hatch lift to round it out)?

Anyone order a carbon fiber hood scoop? do they like it?

What do you recommend? Should I leave the hood as is? get a solid black scoop to match all the black trim? or does the carbon fiber look really nice?

thanks, ...i am just totally confused on this style point. ..can't decide.

I have a R56 Cooper S in pepper white, but before I had a Convertible Cooper S in dark silver, I bought JCW Carbon Fiber scoop, rear hatch lift and mirror covers and it looked awesome!!!

I have a Laser Blue and White. How would this car look with carbon fiber addons?

anyone have any photos of their cars w/ the carbon fiber trim accessories? ...all I can find are factory photos which all have studio lighting ....hard to tell what it really looks like and how light/dark it really looks.

..anyway, a photo would be great if anyone has one.

I have a Laser Blue with laser blue roof.
JCW CF rear plinth and the JCW hood scoop.

You can easily do the install yourself.
I have no MINI background at all and I did it on my own.

For the hood scoop:
- Just pull out the black from underneath the hood.
- Push the gray tab up (I used needle nose pliers)
- Once the gray tab is pushed enough, you'll see a small gap at the top of the bonnet. Stick your fingers in there and pull the hood scoop off. You'll hear a small popping sound each time saying that the pins are coming off. Don't worry, it didn't mean you broke a tab... but still, be gentle.
- Replace the tabs on the stock scoop onto the JCW scoop.
- Hard part's over... Stick the JCW scoop in where the tabs align.
- Put the black tab back from underneath the hood. Make sure you watch that your hood scoop isn't being pushed from the top.

For the rear plinth:
- Use a torx driver (I think it was T20) to remove the 4 screws.
- Gently pull off the stock plinth and remove the connector plug.
- Connect the plug onto the JCW plinth.
- Attach the plinth onto the boot and screw everything back in.

The CF looks good.
I think better with a body colored roof or black roof... not sure about white roof, but that's just my personal opinion.
My main computer is broken and ordered a new computer.
I'll post some pics when the new one gets in (should be about a week).

pics would be great, ...yeah, from what I can tell the CF parts are about the same from the dealer and the dealer doesn't charge installation...
