Morristown Mini is the cheapest price I've found.

I was meaning that the Aero kit looks a lot better in person than it does online, much like the leatherette seats, it an option you should check out in person.

The JCW kit really should be a factory installed option, that would have been a no-brainer add to our build, but I don't trust the dealer to get it painted & installed like factory.

You don't have to trust the dealer, I'm getting it all done at the VDC for considerably less than the dealer quoted me.

If you order it when you get your car it's painted and installed at the VDC.

-not sure that's an option. If I am correct almost all of the JCW accessories are installed at the dealer or distribution center, not the factory.

Here's my question then, I have a 2008 MCS on order. Another 2 weeks and it should be at the dealer. I am on the fence w/ ordering the JCW aero kit. Sounds like it's about $2700 painted and installed from the dealer? ...should I pay this high price, or get it from a 3rd party website (like morristown mini for several hundred less) and then have a body shop paint it for me. Seems like I could save about $1k going the non-dealer route. Body shops are pretty good, i've had other items painted from them in the past, always w/ stellar results.

your opinion?

Okay, I've thought about this a lot, ..I really love the JCW aero kit and love what it does for the Mini.

Since my Mini is still on order, I've gone ahead and had them paint and install this kit. I was quoted $2,500 for everything (parts, paint + labor). The cheapest I found this kit was for $1,350 w/ shipping. But then I still have to pay an additional $5-700 for paint ...and then the labor to install. So, it's a decent deal in my opinion.

That's what we paid too. Figured it was worth it not to have to deal with a paint shop and to have it on the car when we take delivery.

What happened? You ordered the factory aero and then decided you wanted the JCW aero and it was too early to cancel?

i did find a company that sells them for about $200 cheaper than dealer, yet like you mentioned by the time you bring it to the body shop, have it installed, etc... you've saved maybe $300 ?? it's easier to just put it into the total loan.

not sure about the States but here in Canada the JCW mini comes with the factory aero kit but I want the JCW aero and there is no way of ordering it from the factory installed.

This looks so amazing, i'll be hopefully ordering mine next week, and i'm ordering it to look just like this, minus the crazy expensive JCW wheels.

That seems like a very reasonable price to me.

What other options are out there for a light weight 18" wheel that will fit the MINI?
