Had grey the first MINI. It did look just like my daughter's Camry. AH this time.

I kinda liked the color contrast with the light gray in my first Mini. My current one has the AH and at first it made the interior feel like a dark cave. Now it still feels like a cave but a welcoming relaxing cave.

I'll settle for a nice little cave. Actually, I'm hoping the AH sharpens the ability to see outside. Make it a little less squinty.

Mine came off the lot with the anthracite. The black does look nice though!

We ordered Molly with the Anthracite Headliner because we wanted a cohesive look with the Grey, Black and Chrome!! 17,000+ miles later we wouldn't change it!!

+1 My point exactly. With no sunroof, it makes you focus on the OUTSIDE where the driving you do actually happens. You won't be disappointed.

I went with the AH. Couldn't be happier. Ties together the interior nicely. It really depends what else you're doing on the car. For example, I wouldn't do an AH with British Racing Green exterior.

They both have their good points, that being said, I did test drive a JCW Clubman w/no sunroof yesterday and it was fairly dark. Mine right next to it in the parking lot had the lighter Gray and I did feel more comfortable with the lighter gray. I think I prefer what I got, but it does look awesome with the Anthracite...

What, are people afraid of the dark?
You shouldn't be looking at the inside while driving. Pay attention to the road.

It's like decorating your home. Do you really stand and stare at the color you've chosen after it's been on the walls for a few years??!!

That's true, I don't even notice it anymore except when I go from my Mini to my light tan interior on my Jeep.

Just bought an iPod to match the AH. Look, Ma! I'm an interior designer!

It's an opinion. Sheeeesh.
thats why people have been migrating to the other site (MOTORING ALLIANCE) from what i hear
its a bummer we all drive these cool little cars and alot of people here try to wear mini under wear which must make them cranky,
i do believe there is a site somewhere for communists who believe all should be the same.

We live in a Country of Free Speach, we just celebrated our Independence yesterday. We all drive MINIs for the same reason their Fun, Cute and U-ified...you choose what options you want or don't want. If you pay that much attention to what others say and perceive to be "the Law" then you need to drive more and pay attention less.

Go drive your MINI for a few thousand miles and get over it!!

I picked my car up on 3 July and the AH is absolutely wonderful. There is so much less internal glare on the glass that it is truly pleasant. I love the look, also.

Right now Motoring Alliance may be a good place to avoid some attitude but as it grows (and it will, which is fine) there will be similar issues. There's no escaping human nature.

I hate to admit it but after ordering my Mini Cooper Clubman S a month ago I saw an anthracite headliner in person today for the first time and regret not getting it. I really liked the piano black and think the anthracite would complete the cave effect nicely.

Here in the Southern California Desert the AH creates such a welcome place to be. Between the A/C, small windows and black interior (NO sunroof), I'm really comfortable in the high heat (~112 ). It also really caps of the color scheme - BRG, Black roof and mirrors, black stripes, Black Lounge Leather with Antique Oak accents, and bright silver 17" Crown Spokes.

It's almost like a grown-up, civilised MINI. More handsome than cute IMHO. (Pics are from Oregon, before the CA move....)

Hey Bud...you can reject the car and order the AH in your next one. Ya' the wait will be a killer, but you won't be remorseful!!

Good Luck!!

They already ordered me another one because I wanted the piano black and it was too late to change my mind as it went into production only a couple days after my initial order. I think they'd have a heart attack if I changed my mind again

Also my wife and I are getting antsy waiting for ours which is due to arrive at Port Hueneme in about 10 days. I'll have to take my wife to the dealer and show her the difference. She's not as picky as I am so she may not care. She also will be the primary driver

My MA also advised against it. Said the "cheaper" headliner would brighten up the interior more. Thought it was great that sales recommended not spending more money

I went with the anthracite because the demo car had the grey and it was covered in greasy black fingerprints. I keep the car clean, but that makes it so much easier. just gotta remember not to allow powdered donuts in the car.

Opinions are like noses.....

Opinions are like noses....everybody's got one, but some are much more attractive than others !!!!!

Mine, I think the AH looks really good with some of the interior choices, and less so with others. Some like the "cave effect", but for me I wanted the lighter interior so I have the sun roof, lighter headliner and Tuscan Beige.
Works for me, probably not for you, OK either way.
