I had my cousin from Wheel Works call their Konig rep and the Konig guy said the 16s won't fit?!?! I've been inspired getting these rims after I saw an R53 have the 16" version, but can apparently the tech said they wouldn't clear the brakes or something.

When I got to KonigWheels.com, they wheel fit application says they fit. Also, Alta sells them on their website for the r56, but I would like to know if someone actually has them on their car or not in the 16" version. Please let me know and I would really appreciate it. I've been searching, but most people have 17s on their r56.

Doesn't make sense. The standard wheels that come on the R56 are 16"

Might be an offset issue.
I've been looking at these as well for my R53 in 17". and the offset is 38 or 40, can't remember. I think i found that my stock s-lights are 48 offset, might make enough diffence to rub??
I hope not cause looking at that pic of the pepper white is definately inspiring!

I also just remembered that the R56 has a larger lug bolt size , and some rims need to be drilled out....not a rub but another obstacle if trying to fit on an R56.

I would call Alta and ask them if they will fit on your car. I'm sure they've test fitted these wheels on a R56 if they sell them for that model. The R56 has a 14mm lug hole which could be the problem of fitting on an R56. My 05 R53 has a 12mm lug hole which is stated above !

I would like to get some black Konig feathers also 16". Where is the best place to buy the Konigs from?

sounds to me like you just need to drill out the lug holes a bit.
anyone have offset information? could be helpful later... i know i'll need it

 

Konig Feathers have a 40mm offset,weigh 15.2lbs and will fit an R56.Alta has both the 16" and 17".

 

I purchased black 16" Feathers from Alta and they fit my 2007 R56 "S" perfectly over the brakes - they do stick out from the wheel well "slightly" (10-30 mm?) with 215s on, which might be an issue with lowering springs. Call Alta and check - i they cannot answer your question satisfactorily buy something that you know does work perfectly. I am very happy with the slightly "bulgy" look.

Absolutely ZERO rubbing with 215/50R16s on the Feathers from ALTA - not even with four people (750lbs. of humans).
