Anti-Theft ?

I just got a form from my Insurance company asking me if my car is equipped with any Anti-theft device. If so what is it called and how does it work.

I did not order an alarm from the factory , So my question would be .

Do the 08 Mini Coopers have any sort of passive or active anti-theft device built into them ?

My 99 Ford Ranger pickup has a blinking red light when the key is taken out . Some sort of cutoff device is activated if the proper key is not used to start the truck. This is built into the key. Which makes the Truck key expensive to replace .

Our Mini Keys are expensive to replace . Would our key fob be considered a Anti-theft device ?

You tell the insurance you have anti theft, but not an alarm.

If they ask further say its a car immobilizer that works
with a coded key fob.
