Age 49, MWM, one 8 year old daughter. Company got serious about our "go green" initiative and advised that they would cut my car allowance 75% if I kept driving my 97' Tahoe (which I love) for work, but would increase my current allowance it by 25% if I selected a car that got a highway EPA of 32 or greater. While a bit small, the Mini seemed to be the biggest bang for the buck fitting that criteria.
In effect, they pay for this car, but dependability is a big issue for me, and I will be watching it very closely and reporting back to NAM and my dealer any issues that arise.
BTW: My Tahoe has had nothing more than normal maintenance, and has been great.

Eburr, Keep in mind that a Tahoe and a MINI are two completely different vehicles so they can not be compared to each other on any level.
If you got the MINI because you really liked the looks and style then I'm sure you'll be very happy with it.
But if you got it only to satisfy your boss and are still in love with the Tahoe then I'm sure you'll find many reasons not to like the MINI
As I would if my boss forced me into something like a Tahoe.
