That's what I was thinking and he said it actually really looks bad.... and I have a post where I asked other people their opinion about this... and one couple said they went to look at one that had this color combo, and it was the first thing they noticed about the car and hated it... soooo..... thats why I changed mine

I know it's been covered before, but man I really can't decide on getting the pacific blue and cloth seats or the leatherette.

Everyone seems to say the cloth feels weird, and not easily cleaned. The Leatherette looks real nice.

Unfortunately the dealer I test drove at didn't have any cloth seats, only leather and leatherette.

I also feel that if i'm going to spend 28k on a car, cloth seats just don't fit.

I live and work in Seattle. ( Welcome to NAM/PSMINI/Seattle ;-) ).

First things first, get heated seats. Lemme say that again, get heated seats! Heated seats in my MINI aren't just for warming my butt at 6am in winter but every once in a while, when my back is tired after a very long day, I love having heated seats around. You have them in your options. Keep them.

When I was going to order my MINI, I always thought automatic A/C was for the very lazy - I would like to have that option for the next time - maintaining a constant temperature is a nice thing to have.

Like some of the other posters have mentioned, get auto wipers. They are good to have . [My previous car was a 94 accord]

I skipped the NAV ($ = :( ) and PDC (nice to have but not really needed in my opinion - you get used to the rear view pretty quick). Comfort access is another extravagant (like the auto AC) option I would consider for my next MINI purchase (if ever).

I bought the factory sports suspension and with the fun-flats, the ride isn't exactly smooth but it isn't that rough either.

Sorry to hear that you are anti-ipod. They are great devices and they really have no equivalents in the market but I digress. I skipped the ipod access option (too much $ imo).

I skipped the sun-roof because of 1. price 2. two inches off the headroom (i am 6'3") and more moving parts = /sadpanda.

Edit; Did you talk to Rasmussen MINI (I recommend Jarid Perry). It is true that NW MINI is opening another dealership in North Seattle but I am biased towards Rasmussen for their great service.

^Thanks for the info...

I'm anti-Ipod simply because of what they have become. Everyone sees them as a "have-to-have" item, when they're not. The new Microsoft Zune is far superior imo, but I own neither. I have an old school Rio Carbon 6gig and it holds more then I need. But I digress...

I'm planning on sticking with NWmini because once they open the new store it'll be real convenient for service.

Heated seats are a definite for me. I'm shorter, 5'9", so the sunroof is no big deal.

Still deciding on the wipers... I'm driving a 90 accord which is practically identical to the 94 accord for this discussion. (I know both of them inside and out, and suspension, interior controls, down to the engine, they're pretty much identical.) I have no issue controlling my own wipers and we do get some HEAVY rain here in PA. I just don't like auto things, just one more thing that I can't control, that can go wrong...

I have a lot coming up in the near future, I don't even know where I'm going to live once I get to Seattle...

Your MINI can be serviced at any MINI dealership once you buy it. But I can relate to have your dealer close to you feeling. Some people here spoken out against the sunroof (no screen) but I believe you can heavily tint the sunroof if you desire.

Seattle really isn't about heavy rain - it's about (more) frequent showers. Auto-wipers is one of those things that you don't really need but once you have them, you wouldn't want to not have them. I see cars around me with their wipers moving at the same frequency regardless of how hard the shower/rain is and I see mine moving when needed (and they adapt to the rain - harder hitting showers = wipers go faster) and I smile.

I've been living in Seattle for 3 years (lived for 2 years in Bellevue which is on the East side) and let's say I really prefer Seattle to Bellevue.

Back on topic, you are going to love whatever you are going to get . But it is good that you posted here asking for info...now you get to deal with the wait and drive your friends nuts.

Do they still have the fob slot in the dashboard? If so, does it look odd being empty? I left comfort access off my pending order and wondering if I should rethink that. Thanks!

Does it sense the FOB in your pocket or something? Otherwise anyone could get in and drive right?!

I have the comfort access. LOVE IT. yeah, you need to be about 1-2 feet from the door you're trying to unlock (or lock). you push the little black button and open the door and sit down and start the car. The little FOB holder thing doesn't look funky w/o the FOB in it because it's never there. In fact, when I do put it there just to see what it's like, it looks weird being there at all. the empty spot kind reminds me that I never needed to fuss with it to begin with...
