What does MINI cover on the R56? Do we have to wait "till the Light goes on" till they provde a free oil change.

I will likely be at around 12K when the year of ownership date arrives in early July. On my r53 they changed the oil free of charge yearly regardless of the mileage. Same with my E46 M-3 when I had that car under warranty/maint.

I just took my MCS in for a 1 year service. The light hadn't come on and the computer says there's another 10K before it's needed. It has 13K on it over that 1 year. They were fine to do the free oil change.

 

They will do a free oil change after one year, regardless of the the computer says.
