I have LSD and it is very noticable if you are going round a very tight corner in a low gear and floor it. Instead of trying to straighten out, the car actually tightens the corner - takes some getting used to! The LSD is transferring torque from the slipping inside wheel to the outside - more power on the outside wheel is what tightens the radius.

Thanks to all, it's makes sense somewhat... I do agree that in tight corners, I do feel a lot of torque steer. So I guess I have to conclude that I do have LSD in my MCS.

That explains alot. On my RWD car, the steering wheel will center itself once you let go halfway thru a turn. When I tried that on my MINI, it kept the steering wheel locked (maybe turned it even more to one side). Almost ran up the curb a few times.

Is that the LSD or is the just a normal characteristic of front wheel drive cars? I doubt my 17 year old Sentra has LSD but it does this also.

i was under the impression the lsd in the mini was a helical cut/torsen lsd as well. a typical torsen( tq splitting) is a better design then something like a viscous lsd because it can be designed to have a biased design. which would allow it to doube, triple, ect tq to the wheel that has the most grip. this is the design that some audi's use as well as some off road vehicles such as the hummer h1. the lsd is a good design. it just needs traction of 1 tire in order to work.

I thought this was more an effect of torque steer rather than the LSD.
