It is always great to hear another person join the MINI family. You need to savor the wait by following your MINI through production and travel. The First Gear forum has great threads on tracking etc. https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...play.php?f=114. I had fun tracking my MINI and even caught the ship on the Panama canal Web cam when it was passing through. Enjoy!

Nice specs!

Hopefully our Mini's are keeping each other company on the journey.

Sherri - I was at East Bay Mini yesterday afternoon too!! and thought I was going home with a new car...but not a happy ending. One of my requirements is that it has to be automatic. They had two convertibles on the lot that met my req's. Few differences but the color and a few minor items. I test drove the one that was on the lot but made the deal on the one on the showroom floor. We'd signed most of the paperwork and the MA went off to get the final paperwork. I went to sit in the car and noticed that it was manual! I don't know how we all missed it. The issue was that they had it listed as leatherette when it was leather and they listed it as automatic when it was manual. So, they cancelled each other out price wise. The other automatic is in a color that I don't think I'd like. My other option is going with an "S" but I'm not convinced I want to spend the extra $$$.

Enjoy your new mini! I'll be the driver in the ugly blue minivan pouting as you zip by me on the Bay Area backroads!!!

KC

Thanks! I'm sure they make happy bunkmates.

KC, that sucks!! I would have been disappointed too. Thank goodness you caught that before ALL the paperwork was signed!

Thanks for the tip. I had noticed that folks were able to track their MINI's back when I was a lurker, but didn't remember the details. I just called my dealer and the car went into production yesterday at 6:44 am. I can't believe it! I just ordered it at 11 am the day before! Maybe this means that it will come in time for my b-day on May 20th. I'm hopeful.

How could I not tell you, they are just too cute! Very nice touch on an all white MINI. I even showed your pic to folks at work. I looked at a bunch of wheels folks had on their cars but in the end kept being drawn to the R105 18 JCW ones on the MINI USA site. Actually, had I seen your pic before I ordered, who knows what I would have done.
