yeah...HD does suck. worst customer service on earth, crap is never in stock and just an overall apathetically run and managed company...

Someone has generously donated their OEM white cap to my cause. Thanks to all who've offered great suggestions, conflict resolution theorems, sociological studies, socioeconomic impact models, and much, much more.

I hope once the replacement comes it will be easy to put on... it certainly came off easily, whichever way it came off.

The NAM community continues to be a great place (far more responsive than my MA who has yet to return my two phonecalls), and I wish you all happy motoring!
