I have never timed myself but I might have set the world record for 0-60 in a r56.

That's good.

And you're looking for the lowest 0-60 time.

LMAO!!! Didn't even notice that. I ran a 22 second 0-60 in my friend's first car. 1986 Hyundai Excel. Faster than greased lightning!

When the top of my medium Pepsi from While Castle came off at 3am Saturday morning led to a very high 0-60 time. Probably like 193 seconds. Do I win?

..oh and I have a homemade CAI.

lotsie, mark has become much more "lenient" on this type of stuff now. Stupid stuff on the road doesn't mean auto lock the thread. You may get a major chastising from the community at large though.

Help me out here Lotsie, why the post above? I'm relatively new to this and have decided that the people on NAM use more acronyms that I did as a federal employee for 35 years.

The post is in reference to NAM site guidelines.

R56 Quarter Mile Trouble

I took my car to California Speedway completely stock for the second time with the only difference being an Alta Panel Filter and what a shock. Last time I ran my R56 Auto Trans between 14.95 and 15.1 at 90-93MPH. This time I only ran twice and then shut it down because I ran 15.85 and 15.98 at 83MPHH both times. My 60 foot was the same as last time around 2.25-2.35 but the car just died after 40MPH. I don't feel like the car is bad driving around town but maybe it has been gradually getting slower because of a problem and I have not noticed. The weather was 70 degrees and my friend who raced his mustang both times was within 2 tenths he actually went faster so I know it wasn't the track

Does anyone have any idea or had a similar experience

Remember not all speeding is illegal. I frequently drive 145 mph and it is 100% legal. Its sad when we are "monitored" so carefully, So much for FREEDOM OF SPEECH. I am obviously not a moderator because itd be a very bad one. I think the "police" should stay on the pavement.

Unfortunately due to site restrictions, I'm unable to provide a description of my first test drive of a R56. I hope no one I ever meet here or in person buys that car.

It was a message from God that it was time to order myself a R56

Bottom line - I've never timed a 0-60. I'm having too much fun to worry about times. And my first AX event was so fun and fast that only after the day was over did I calculate that in the straights, I had to be doing well over 100 (driving the wife's R53). With Bimini not even broken in yet, I'm already having to watch myself. My only hope will be that I can AX enough to get the speed out of my system before I hit the streets. I wonder if I can write off the costs of AX as therapy treatment?

I hope that I stayed in the legal arena for this forum.

Comfortably in the low 3's on my 7/11 and the upper 3's on my Triumph.

Compared to both, my MCS is so slow I can take a nap between gear changes.......

What club is setting up courses that allow a relatively low powered car to reach "well over 100mph"? I've never done an autocross that required shifting into fourth, IMO that's not really an autocross anymore.

I also feel the MCS is slower than expected for a turbo 4cly, but we'll see what we can do about that once it arrives.. the 'net says 6.2 or something right? I have a g-tech pro so I can post accurate to the hundredth after october, oh, my 335i with step in sport mode gets 4.8 0-60 but wheelspin is a killer.

I'd like to remind everyone(epecially those in oversight) that you could quite legally execute a 0-60 analysis on the street!.How?I'll give you one example that will pass all muster.Ready? When coming to a full stop at a light regulated on ramp! You damn better be ready to hit the afterburners!Am I right or am I right,or am I right??(Ned Ryerson,Case Western High)

not to mention there are no laws broken if it's not a public road we routinely exceed 60mph on our 'test route'...good thing it's not a public maintained/patrolled route
